Mediation

Arscotts centre for Family Mediation operated as an integral part of Arscotts Solicitors but is very different to the legal services we offer.

In the event of a marriage breakdown the mediator works with the husband and wife together. The Mediator helps the couple to identify the decisions they need to make in order to lead separate lives.

Mediation is about collecting information and knowing your options so that you can make informed choices about your future. It is also about looking at any proposals critically to make sure as far as you can that they will work for you. Mediation is not about putting couples back together.

People who use the Mediation Service can be:-

  • Married couples
  • Unmarried couples (same sex or heterosexual)
  • Grand parents and parents

Mediation can be about how a couple shares the parenting of a child; it can be about:

  • Property
  • Pensions & Savings
  • Budgeting and ongoing contribution between separated households

The Mediator is impartial and does not advise the parties either individually or together but does provide information to the parties which can help them reach their decisions.

Susan Regi trained as a Mediator with John Haynes in 1995. She is a member of the UK College of Family Mediators. She can offer Mediation to privately funded and publicly funded clients.

Susan Regi can be contacted on (01273) 716325 or use our enquiry form.
